April showers bring May flowers?
Not exactly. May began with a touch of winter and spring, mostly winter.

A quick inch of snow in 45 minutes, which promply melted as fast as it came. It was followed by two nights of freeze warnings. How it would affect our peach tree, which is loaded with blossoms, is another question.

Hopefully, it wasn’t too cold. If it was not too cold for too long of time, then an excellent crop of peaches will be afforded in late August. If the cold was long enough, perhaps only a handful will be yielded.
The wet snowflakes, though, was enough to fascinate our Miss Midnight.

The outlook for the rest of May?
Interesting.

I hope it is nicer than that snow. At least we haven’t had any snow again.
A few nights ago it was 32 degrees here, too, and we had freeze warnings all over the place. Very weird weather, but I’m pretty sure my mom controls it. When she thought it was safe, she put the summer blanket on the bed, and then it got cold and she was freezing. So she put the winter blanket back on and the nights got mild and now she’s boiling. See?
Yikes .. even way up here, snow in May gives reason to paws.
