This past weekend was a busy one. It required patience, planning, and skilled supervision of the meezer kind.
The project – installing a new laminate floor in the dining room.
First, three pieces of furniture had to be lightened of their breakables. Then, some moving around of the dining room furniture.

The wall-to-wall carpet is ready for removal, with Midnight making her final inspection before the first cut is made.
With the carpet, padding, and tack strips removed, the new vinyl laminate planks are laid. Unlike the kitchen project, done in March, there are no unusual cornering cuts to be made. In its place, plenty of measuring to have the proper lengths of planks that would give the new floor strength.
The most difficult part of the project was the installation of a carpet reducer, the transition moulding from the carpeted surface to laminate. Plainly, it is the most difficult install to undertake, even for flooring professionals. If done poorly, it will make for not only a sloppy appearance but also pose a tripping danger.
After the project was finished, a new floor that would rival any professional installation. With a carpet reducer transition that promises to keep the carpet tight and in place. And, a nice transition from kitchen into dining room.

Of course, a project of this size and detail cannot be completed without expert meezer supervision.

Meezer Rule (Dino): Make sure you take a good nap during and after a day of supervising.

great snoopervision – it would not be nearly as nice without it.
A project of that size definitely needs some snoopervision. I am glad you are finding time to nap.
Snoopervising is such hard work. But it looks like they did a good job.
