Meezer Colors Day 2011
The day for meezers to show their colors is fast approaching. Meezer Colors Day will be on June 8th. Make sure you mark the day on your calendar. Last year, we had very good participation – including some meezers participating for the first time. It’s our hope this year’s event will be just as good if not better.
To participate:
- You must be a meezer, meezer bun, honorary meezer, or a feline living with or related to a meezer. A person pretending to be a meezer, a cat, or dressed in a cat suit does not count.
- You may use objects or whatever else is handy to highlight your meezer colors.
- Limited photoshop enhancements are permissible, such as brightness/contrast adjustments, resizing, red-eye reduction, and background scenes. If you adjust the colors of your background scenes, make sure it does not turn the color of your furs, points, and eyes to an unusual color.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment.
Spring days
This past weekend, unlike the last, was more spring-like. Make it more summer-like, which is much better. Under sunny skies, our temperatures were in the mid-80s. The temptation to start the central A/C was great. Fortunately, there was a coolness to the occasional wind gust to take the edge off the warm temperatures.

However, we’ll be reminded of the changeability of our springtime weather. A rain-snow mix, with temperatures in the low 40s, is forecasted for Wednesday. It’ll be a day for a fleece throw or two, and a good nap.
On the hunt
The late spring hunting season has arrived with the return of our seasonal prey, the Millers. The Millers are very challenging. They like to flutter about any light source. If they get inside, watch out lamps. We’ll knock down anything to catch one. We’ll jump to catch one. When they’re caught – the Millers make a nice treat or toy.
Last year, we had a decent hunting season. We’re hoping for a better season this year.

I hope you have a spectacular hunting season!
We were boiling over the weekend, boiling, I say. We have no more refrigerated air, so we have to have someone to get on the roof to get the swamp cooler running. Thank Bast my mom finally got on the stick and that will happen this week.
But the really bad thing? We have no Millers, no anything here! We keep hoping something will fly in but no luck yet.

did you catch the fev-vers?
Bob and the rest of the Feline Family love the warm weather…they’d love it if you could send some Millers this way!
Lola, the inquisitve one and the baby who hasn’t learned not to blurt things right out, wants to know what exactly are Meezers? JoJo, Lola and Magoo especially like celebrations and don’t want to miss Meezer Color Day!
